So here is the photo I had promised. This photo was made in front of a Crossair Saab 2000 next to maintenance hangar.(click on it for a bigger version...There are others available on the photo page).

What is ATPL 3/01?

There has been some changes in the class, so I had to rewrite this text. As I said before ATPL 3/01 is a class of 10 idiots trying to become airline pilots, going through the program established by a certain aviation school called Crosscat (who is now kown as Swiss Aviation Training), a compagny owned jointly by the swiss airline Crossair and GE, located in the midle of Europe at the Bāle-Mulhouse-Freiburg international airport.
The course objective is to obtain in one year the JAR-FCL ATPL (Air Transport Pilot's License) license, which is bloody crazy, that I can tell you!!
Who are we? Well that is a mistery :-) We come from all over Europe, and further away some times. Here is the proof of what I'm saying : one sweddish guy, one french(I had forgotten about him on the first page :-)), 3 pure germans, 1 greek, 1 syrian, 1 finnish who all think they are germans, and 2 swiss (well one of them is not completely swiss, and comes from the indian ocean). Remarks : Why did I say idiots? Well you must be quite a bit out of your mind to invest a huge sum of money in a project where you work your brains till near exhaustion, while you do not have no, and I mean no, guarantee of future employement !!
There is one thing though : it's fun, and you have the opportunity to see real aircraft and FLY!!!!
